Merry Christmas From Waldo & Friends

FROM ELIZABETH MCGEE MACBETH KENNELS

HELLO EVERYONE,
Our Little Santa, who went home with his new mom on Sunday

IT HAS BEEN QUITE A YEAR
THE DOGS AND THE CATS
AND THE PARROT AND ME
WE ALL PACKED UP IN MAY
AND MOVED TO PAMPLIN IN JUNE
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW NOT
WHERE THAT IS
IT IS IN THE COUNTRY
CLOSE TO APPOMATTOX
WHERE LEE SURRENDERED TO GRANT
WE HAVE HAD HAPPY MOMENTS
AND SOME VERY SAD TIMES
BUT WE ARE NOT GOING TO DWELL
ON THE SAD
WE WILL BE FOREVER UNPACKING

WALDO SAYS IT IS NO USE
I JUST GET MORE STUFF OUT OF BOXES
AND IT JUST CLUTTERS UP HIS SPACE

WHAT SPACE IS YOURS I ASK

OH MOM, YOU ARE SO SILLY, HE RESPONDS
YOU KNOW, THE BEDROOM,
THE LIVING ROOM,
THE DINING ROOM,
THE KITCHEN,
THE BATHROOM

DO I HAVE ANY SPACE HERE WALDO?

SURE MOM, I ALLOW YOU TO ROAM ABOUT
YOU GET TO WASH THE DISHES
AND CLOTHES
YOU GET TO CLEAN UP THE POOPIE MESSES
YOU GET TO DRIVE THE CAR
YOU GET TO PAY THE BILLS
ONCE IN A WHILE, YOU CLEAN THE HOUSE
WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT MOM??

OH, I DON'T KNOW WALDO
PERHAPS A NAP HERE AND THERE
WATCH TEEVEE IN PEACE
READ A BOOK

GEE MOM, YOU ARE SO SILLY
I WILL NAP WITH YOU
I WILL WATCH TEE VEE WITH YOU
YOU KNOW I CANNOT READ
BUT YOU CAN READ TO US ANIMALS

WELL WALDO, WE ARE WAY OFF TRACK
THIS IS A CHRISTMAS LETTER
TO OUR FRIENDS

OKAY MOM, TELL OUR FRIENDS
WE WANT TOYS CHEW BONES,
AND MCDONALD'S MONEY

WALDO, WE ARE NOT ASKING FOR THINGS

WELL MOM, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SAY

I DO NOT KNOW WALDO,
MAYBE I SHOULD WAKE UP
MISS BUTTONS OR ETHEL

NO MOM, WE CAN HANDLE IT
WE COULD ASK JUSTICE
BUT HE WANTS SQUEEKIES

WALDO, QUIT ASKING FOR STUFF
WE WANT TO TELL PEOPLE
HOW WE ARE HOW THANKFUL
WE GOT MOVED
HOW GOD HAS BLESSED US
IN OUR NEW HOME
HOW GOD HAS GIVEN US NEW FRIENDS
AND KEPT US IN TOUCH WITH OLD FRIENDS
HOW WE ARE BLESSED
TO HAVE NEW MEMBERS OF OUR PET FAMILY

MOM, DO WE HAVE TO MENTION THE LITTLE DOGS

YES WALDO, WE DO

EVEN THE PAPILLONS
AND THE YORKIES
AND THOSE SILLY FLUFFY SHIH TZU

YES WALDO,
AND WE ARE THANKFUL
WE HAVE AUTUMN THE CHESSIE
AND EDIE THE POODLE

WELL MOM, I KNOW WHAT TO SAY

WALDO, DO NOT ASK FOR ANYTHING

I KNOW MOM,
GEE, YOU KEEP REPEATING YOURSELF

OKAY WALDO, YOU TAKE IT FROM HERE

ALL RIGHT MOM,
NOW YOU ARE THINKING
LISTEN UP EVERYBODY
WE LOVE ALL OF YOU
WE WANT YOU TO BE BLESSED IN 2008
WE WANT YOU TO BE SAFE AND WARM
AND PRAY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT
WHAT WE HAVE
WE WANT YOU TO HAVE PEACE AND JOY
WE WANT TO PRAY FOR OUR SERVICE MEN OVERSEAS
WE WANT TO STAY IN TOUCH WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY
AND WE WANT TO WISH EVERYONE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

THAT WAS GOOD WALDO.

THANKS MOM. OH MOM, CAN I SAY ONE MORE THING

YES WALDO YOU MAY

CAN SOMEONE SEND ME A CHEESEBURGER

WALDO, I TOLD YOU NOT TO ASK FOR ANYTHING

CAN'T BLAME A BOY FOR TRYING MOM.
